How does WebCD work?

Two software components work together to make hybrid Web/CD publishing easy:

1. WebCD Viewer (present on each CD, for the end-user)

• Your portable, searchable, 100% self-contained Web site is delivered on each CD. Installation, browser, players and plug-ins are automatically included.
• Live-Links seamlessly connect CD to the Web for updates and e-commerce transactions.

2. WebCD Packager (for the publisher)

• Retrieves, relocates, and transforms Web content to be viewable in a server optional environment.
• Drag&drop to combine high bandwidth multimedia files, then build a CD-ROM master image ready for replication.
